About Charlotte

I have been helping people  “get smart” all of my professional life. As a former Vice President of Investment Strategies and National Spokesperson for American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise Financial), I developed a sales and marketing initiative to help women investors throughout the United States.  This eventually launched my professional speaking business to show others that they too can have enough financial ‘know-how’ to achieve personal economic success.

I cut my teeth on the nuts and bolts of business: sales, marketing and leadership from years at heavy-hitter corporations such as US Banks, Xerox and over 20 years at American Express. By taking risks, making mistakes and gathering information, I grew into the kind of expert that you can trust – and learn from.

Like so many people, I did not have a specific career choice in mind when starting out.  I simply wanted to attain some level of accomplishment to help my family out of poverty. “I think this helped me to be a scrappy, go-getter type person.  Nothing was handed to me, and we went without a lot, so I’m a hustler at heart.”

I really want to help others to improve their lives by sharing with them the financial lessons I’ve learned – both good and bad! I understand that dealing with finances and life can be challenging, but it can also be energizing and fulfilling.
